featured project
Empower Solar Consulting worked with the following organizations to
develop a commercial solar project on the County Career Center in
Ashland, Ohio. This is the first project of its kind in the area.
Combining a large array size with dedicated educational and training
opportunities on the
same site make it unique.
· NexGen Energy Partners LLC, of Gaithersburg, MD, a leading owner and operator of on-site renewable energy systems in Ohio and around the country, owns and operates the system in exchange for the center’s commitment to pay a predictable rate for the energy the solar arrays produce.
· MKC Associates, of Mansfield, Ohio, provided Engineering services.
· Engineered Process Systems, Ltd, of Huron, Ohio, provided installation and electrical services.
· Empower provided NABCEP-Certified system designs and equipment procurement services.
Beginning with technical project feasibility assessments, Empower Solar
Consulting (ESC) laid the groundwork for this successful project by
defining system sizing and production capacities to be used in financial
modeling.
Once a Letter of Intent was in place, ESC fleshed out the system design, detailing array layouts, equipment placement and electrical tie-in locations, and provided the electrical drawings required for permitting and construction. Subsequently, ESC handled equipment procurement and high-level construction oversight, ultimately leading to full, on-site system commissioning.
